Title: The Role and Position of Woman in Elam’s Civilization
By: Dr. Dadvar
Abstract:
Elam is the mane given to the south western part of Iran in antiquity. Primitive’s religious insight couldn’t epitomize earthly and heavenly super power objectively except in feminine principal of existence. Every one of the ancient nations circled around one or more symbols of feminine principal of existence which is the source and great base of primitive mother and they worshiped it.
Primitive’s religious insight in the subsequent changes finally led to the point in which worshiping multiple Gods in the human shape and body was accepted.
The magnitude of woman’s position in different juncture has been shown in the history of Iran. Women were fire warder, inventor and maker of pottery dishes, founder of plants, examiner of farming, administrator of tribe; meanwhile they have been family conjuncture too. By making pottery they got familiar with chemistry. At the time at spinning they got to know physics and through weaving they got knowledge about mechanics.
Research on the woman’s position in Elam’s civilization has certain importance; because Iranians have adapted the large-scale of their culture and civilization from Elam. In addition, feminine principal of existence was in the center of Elam’s religious insight and goddess was among predominant gods. In Elam’s lawful thought, woman has her own right and human position and she has never appeared as complainant in the rank of inferior. In addition, all legal acts are achieved in the name of gods which of them were goddess.
In Elam’s society, the witnesses of women like men’s have been acceptable, and women’s name as witness are seen in all judicial reports. Woman found a high importance in Elam’s era in as much as Shiro Kadooh, one at the kings of Eparti’s kingdom appointed his mother as Susa’s Sukkal.

Title: Toos philosopher’s Epic Poem and Woman’s Position as a Mother (Woman in Persian Myths)
By: Ali Reza Ashnavar
The relations between man and woman in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh are not apart from a series of events. It is a mirror which reflects the unknown and less known sides of the characteristics of heroes and leads us to understand it perfectly. In the stories of this work, they are the different events of women which indicate the internal characteristics of men. In Persian epic women in most cases are alone and encounter various events. The woman is also forgotten but a short forgetfulness. That is she separates from her husband and the sole supporter in spite of all pains and sufferings, the relatives, too. Pay no attention to her. But this time is short and transient also. It plays an important role in the later stages of her life. She takes part in all stages of her life and she is never neglected. There is so much written and known about woman’s role as a mother in the Persian epic but whatever written is in generality. In this article, the writer tries to (more markedly and obviously present women devotion and self sacrifice and her role as a mother) have a new research on this subject.
Indeed in the culture of every woman’s life to become a mother has an eminent value the mother who protects her child from harm and evils. For a mother desiring such a thing is the beginning of deliverances and the central point of fairness.
Most of women in Shahnameh are distinguished examples of a perfect woman, a woman of standard pretty. They properly and enormously enjoy the womanly quality as well as prudence and courage. Women such as Sindokht, Roudabeh, Thamineh, Farangis, Jarireh, Faranak and the like as mothers rouse love and have the respect of the public. In this piece of writing attention, in detail has been paid to the role of such women as mothers. Who have fulfilled it perfectly and successfully and they have left good names behind them.
A woman ( Sindokht) who is aware of all her womanly emotions and sentiments, understands her daughter’s (Roudabeh) love and tolerates all reproaches from her husband’s side so that her daughter can join the man whom she loves.

Title: the women’s veil
By: Abas Ali Akhavan Armaki
Abstract:
Nowadays, one of the important cases in the case of veil .some people suppose that the women have been living with no cover .in ancient Iran, although with coming the religions into existence ,the case of veil has become a part of the prophetic missions of god’s prophets for the safety of persons and society .so , in this articale we have researched the veil of the word of veil has different meanings in cultures that from all them we can gather that veil is a kind of dresses, which covers whole body. Islam and other divine religions have emphasized on veil so much.zoroaster, mosic law and the religion of Christ have recommended on them very much. About the importance of veil, we should remark: veil is a type of guarantee for the psychical security and tranquility, for men and women. And in fact, veil brings them for the whole society .and because of the following reasons; it has got a great value:
1) Veil protects the community from the prevalence of psychical and sexual diseases.
2) Veil prevents the families from the decline of morality.
3) Veil causes the security of man and society.
As the human being could make needles, he produced clothes from the wool of animals and the fiber of plants .and in the end, as the result of gradual perfection, these simple clothes changed to Indian clothes, Greek capes, old Egyptian waist tribes of summers and babels, and Egyptians people had had some kinds of dresses. But mostly, the upper halves of their bodies have been shown with nakedness. And at the same old time in Iran, the women had been having veil. in epic poetry and legendary history of Iran by ferdowsi ,he mentions that the Iranian women of noble birth have been modest and chaste, and he considers the prudence as the best specification for the women. The remained traces from the time of the Medes expresses that the women’s bodies have been covered. But they hadn’t been having any scarves. And their hair has been hung from the back of their ears on their shoulders. The Iranian woman at the time of the achaemenians has been suing the colorful and various dresses and they had been putting on scarves. At the time of the ashkanis.the Iranian women had been wearing a kind of dresses, which had been coming till under the knees, and they had been wearing scarves and masks as well. At the time of the Sassanid’s the women had been wearing dresses that had even been covering the ankles. And they had been putting on puckered scarves over the particular dresses .as a result, Iranian ancient women had been having veil and they had been considering it as a virtue and reverence for women.
